The Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (Promperu) and Avianca signed a strategic alliance to promote Peru as a tourist destination in Canada, Colombia, Spain, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.
The promotion will be carried out through a joint plan that includes advertising campaigns in digital media, television, and radio, running until November of this year.
The campaign is estimated to reach more than 189 million advertising views in the six prioritized markets.
As part of this alliance, Peru will have a presence in strategic, high-traffic locations, such as El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, the Callao metro station in Madrid, and various subway stations in the New York boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. as well as the participation of a Colombian influencer.
In addition, a familiarization trip will be held in April 2026 with travel agencies from the United Kingdom.
The agreement also seeks to strengthen the marketing of the country's tourist destinations through a diversified offering of packages and airfare.
The priority regions in this campaign are Arequipa, Cusco, Ica, Lima, Loreto, and Madre de Dios.

This initiative is aligned with the global "Perú Wow" campaign, with which Promperú continues to position the country throughout 2025. This campaign seeks to inspire awe and admiration among international travelers, highlighting Peru's natural, cultural, and gastronomic wonders in 14 international markets, including the six included in the alliance with Avianca.
Avianca, the leading airline in Colombia, Ecuador, and Central America, promotes air connectivity in the Americas. It currently operates 35 weekly flights between Bogotá and Lima, in addition to 7 weekly flights between Bogotá and Cusco.
Importance of priority markets
Between January and August 2025, Peru received a total of 2,268,675 international tourists, of which 786,650 (34.7%) came from the markets included in this alliance.
These results demonstrate the importance of continuing to promote joint strategies that strengthen the arrival of foreign tourists to the country.
Promperu, an entity attached to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), continues to promote the national tourism offering through comprehensive actions abroad, with the goal of consolidating Peru as a diverse, attractive, and internationally competitive destination.
Likewise, this alliance reinforces Avianca's commitment to providing efficient connectivity that facilitates the arrival of more visitors to Peru.
