Woody Allen's star-studded new film, Midnight in Paris, will open the Lima Film Festival on Friday, August 5, at the Cultural Center of the Universidad Católica in the Peruvian capital.
The film, starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Adrien Brody and France’s first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, will be screened at 19.15 hours at the Center's Sala Roja (Red Auditorium).
The 15th Lima Film Festival will be held from August 5 to 13 with Charlie Chaplin's oldest daughter Geraldine Chaplin as special guest. The venue is the Cultural Center of the Pontifica Universidad Católica del Perú (CCPUCP), located on Camino Real 1075 San Isidro.
The film is a romantic comedy that follows a family traveling to the titular city for business, including a young engaged couple who have their lives transformed throughout the journey.
Midnight in Paris celebrates a young man’s great love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have that a life different from their own is better.
