According to INPE's official X account, the
Sarratea Street Home owner had been initially classified to Castro Castro Prison. However, said establishment can no longer receive more inmates.
"The defendant Alejandro Sanchez Sanchez has been classified by INPE to Miguel Castro Castro Prison. Since this prison is closed due to overcrowding, he will be transferred to Huaral Penitentiary Center," it announced.
A pre-trial detention order had been imposed on Sanchez Sanchez over the Shadow Cabinet case, which also involves ex-President Pedro Castillo.
The entrepreneur is under investigation for allegedly being a member of a criminal organization led by Castillo, aimed at the alleged infiltration into State-run institutions for illicit purposes, according to the prosecutorial hypothesis.
