79% of agreements reached at Executive Branch - Regional Government Meetings (GORE-Executive) have so far become a reality, Peru's Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz affirmed Monday.
"These fruitful gatherings allow us to move the country forward," Araoz stressed in this sense.
According to the high-ranking official, such assemblies also bring an opportunity to the decentralization process started in the Inca nation 15 years ago.
Likewise, these meetings seek to contribute to the progress of a "
social revolution" by promoting works undertaken by the different levels of government in response to specific problems affecting Peruvians.
Last but not least, she deemed as important launching serious efforts on a
Disaster Prevention Plan to reduce risks in case of emergency in the country.
GORE-Executive meetings are aimed to spur actions that will encourage further development in the nation.
The 6th GORE-Executive, which featured Peruvian ministers and regional governors, took place on Monday at 27 de Enero Convention Center in Lima's San Borja district.
