Venezuela Ambassador presents credentials in Peru

Venezuelan Ambassador Carlos Scull has presented his credential letters to Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra in Lima.


The protocol ceremony was held at the Government Palace's Golden Hall on Thursday.

President Vizcarra was joined by Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio on the occasion.

Afterwards, the diplomat and the hosting nation's Head of State held a private meeting.


Peru supports the Guaido administration


Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido assumed the powers of the presidency on January 23 after thousands of protesters marched against Maduro's new term in office.
