Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has arrived at Lima’s Government Palace where he is meeting with Peruvian President Alan Garcia Perez.
President Lula da Silva, who reached the Palace at around 09.45 am, was given an official welcoming ceremony with full military honors at the Honor Courtyard.
After reviewing the troops, the national anthems of both countries were sung and then the two leaders entered the Palace to begin their presidential meeting.
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is on a two-day official visit to Peru with the aim of discussing issues such as border, highway and energy integration, trade, technical and educational cooperation, in addition to regional themes of interest.
