The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday affirmed that she ordered the reshuffle of the Presidential Office so as to bring order and prove that the Executive Branch's intention is to work transparently.

Similarly, the Head of State indicated that the citizens most qualified to perform the corresponding functions must work for the Peruvian State. That was her first assignment once she had become Peru's top official, she said.

"We have to put the house in order," Mrs. Boluarte noted during an interview with RPP Noticias.

The top official indicated that there is currently no Regulation of Organization and Functions (ROF) at the Presidential Office. Thus, it must be implemented.

"Each person should be in the space and in the function that corresponds to them according to their skills. To those who do not qualify (for the position), we will have to say 'thank you for your services,'" Mrs. Boluarte remarked.

"People must be trained to perform those functions. The State cannot be put in the hands of those who do not know," she said.

Likewise, the President pointed out that support has been provided to the Public Ministry for the investigations which are being carried out on alleged corruption acts committed during ex-President Pedro Castillo's administration. Said support includes the provision of footage from the Government Palace's security cameras.

Mrs. Boluarte affirmed that this situation has been misled towards her, since she had not expected to become President of the Republic.

Asked about her political stance, the top official indicated that she belongs to a progressive and moderate left, which seeks the development of her country —with equality and social justice.

Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte indicated that whenever the responsibility of governing a country is assumed, it is not governed for a single sector.

"The request I issue to other political sectors is that we can work together. There is a sector that wants anarchism and not consensus. We have to solve what has not been solved in recent times," she underlined.
