on Thursday affirmed that during the current situation —in which the global production of COVID-19 vaccines is not enough to meet the entire demand— it is very difficult for the private sector to purchase them.
"At this moment, there are no private buyers of vaccines that are administering it directly anywhere in the world; that situation does not exist. What exists are scammers, (they are) unscrupulous people who are trafficking in counterfeit vaccines," he emphasized.
The Head of State stressed that this information has been revealed by
Interpol, warning that these cases happen in developed countries.
The statesman indicated that it is not up to the Executive Branch to define when the doses arrive, but rather to the production capacity of laboratories.
