Peruvian actor Marco Zunino has been nominated for a Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, the only major theatrical prize awarded solely by votes cast online by audience members.

Zunino made his Broadway debut as slick lawyer Billy Flynn in the Tony-winning revival of John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse's Chicago on January 16 at the Ambassador Theatre.

A native of Lima, Peru, Marco Zunino began his acting career at the age of 14, having appeared in several Latin American soap operas and television miniseries.

Later, he moved to America to study at New York City's Circle in the Square Theatre School.

Upon returning to Lima, Zunino worked steadily starring in television soap operas and miniseries before starring in Latin American productions of Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus), West Side Story (Tony), Rent (Roger) and Cabaret (Emcee), the latter of which earned him Peru's highest acting achievement in 2009.

In 2013, he is slated to headline the first-ever Latin American production of The Boy from Oz, based on the life story of singer/songwriter Peter Allen.

Fans can support Zunino to win the award in the Best Replacement category by submitting their vote here. Nominee voting will end at 11:59PM on Wednesday, May 2.
