The presidential runoff election abroad, which was overseen by the
, concluded smoothly and without incident thanks to the coordinated efforts of 119 consular offices across 219 polling places and the responsible commitment of the Peruvian community.
As a result, the vote count was completed at 100% of the 2,506 polling tables that were set up, with no incidents reported.
Regarding the June 7 election day, it included the merger of 490 polling stations—mainly in cities across Europe and the United States—which was carried out in accordance with current regulations.
The electoral process concluded following the completion of the vote count at consular offices.
Additionally, in compliance with the Organic Elections Law, a copy of the electoral record was posted at consular offices, where it remained visibly displayed for interested Peruvian community members.
Election Day concluded on schedule in accordance with the timetable established by the national electoral authorities.
The transport of electoral material to Peru began this morning and will continue from different parts of the world through June 10.
The material is being transported directly to the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE).
The operation carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 73 countries, through the work of consular officials and the valuable support of hundreds of volunteers, guaranteed the full voting rights of Peruvian citizens who went to the polls to fulfill their civic duty.
