Peru’s national volleyball team defeated Trinidad and Tobago’s counterpart (3-0) at the U23 Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup taking place in Lima.
The national squad dominated the match from the beginning to win the three sets (25-11, 25-6 and 25-7).
Performances of national athletes Angela Leyva and Katherine Regalado stood out.
Previously, Peru beat Costa Rica (3-0) last Monday. The game's three sets were conquered by the Inca team (25-11, 25-13 and 25-11).
Peru will face Argentina on Wednesday.
The Inca team fights for its qualification to FIVB U23 World Championships set to be held in Slovenia next year.
