Peru President meets with Brazil Vice-President

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday evening met with Brazilian Vice-President Hamilton Mourão at the Government Palace, where they discussed various aspects related to the bilateral relations uniting both nations.


During the meeting, which took place at the palace's Ambassadors Room, the Head of State was joined by Ministers Gustavo Meza-Cuadra (Foreign Affairs) and Walter Martos (Defense).

Previously, Vice-President Mourão received the corresponding honors at the Courtyard of Honor.

The guest affirmed the meeting served to discuss the importance of preserving the resources of the Amazonia, a region shared by both neighboring countries.

Likewise, they addressed issues related to cross-border trade and the fight against corruption, of great relevance for the two nations.

Mourão also participated in the signing of the Declarations of Intentions between the Ministries of Defense of Peru and Brazil aimed at deepening the cooperation between both countries' naval forces.
