Gustavo Meza-Cuadra was on Thursday afternoon sworn in as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
The career diplomat will thus replace Nestor Popolizio in the post.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace's Golden Hall in Lima.
The event saw the presence of the outgoing ministerial team, including former Cabinet chief Salvador del Solar, who presided over the Council of Ministers from March this year until his resignation on Monday.
