President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday afternoon administered the oath of office to members of a reshuffled Cabinet led by
Prime Minister Vicente Zeballos —former Justice-Human Rights Minister— who will replace Salvador del Solar in the post.
The new ministers sworn in today are: Jorge Luis Montenegro (Agriculture and Irrigation), Rodolfo Yañez (Housing, Construction and Sanitation), Francisco Petrozzi Franco (Culture), Jorge Melendez (Development and Social Inclusion), Maria Antonieta Alva Luperdi (Economy and Finance Minister), Edmer Trujillo (Transport and Communications), Gustavo Meza-Cuadra (Foreign Affairs) Juan Carlos Liu Yonsen (Energy and Mines), Walter Roger Martos Ruiz (Defense), and Ana Teresa Revilla Vergara (Justice and Human Rights).
The following high-ranking officials will hold their positions: Flor Pablo (Education), Rocio Ingrid Barrios (Production), Gloria Montenegro (Women and Vulnerable Populations), Edgar Vasquez (Foreign Trade and Tourism), Zulema Tomas (Health), Carlos Moran (Interior), and Sylvia Caceres (Labor and Employment).
Besides, Fabiola Muñoz has left the Agriculture and Irrigation Ministry to serve as new Environment head.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
As is known, Zeballos was sworn in as new Prime Minister last Monday.
