Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra met with representatives of Alianza Para el Progreso (Alliance for Progress) party at the Government Palace in Lima on Monday.
Thus, the round of meetings with the parties —to be part of new Congress— has begun.
Such meetings are aimed at boosting a joint work agenda for the benefit of the country.
In this sense, the top official indicated that the Executive Branch would meet —between Monday and Wednesday— with eight of the nine parties that passed the 5% threshold and —consequently— will have representation in the new Parliament.
The new 130 legislators will serve the remaining period of the 2016-2021 legislative tenure, following the dissolution of Congress.
