Peru President: Govt to continue working to meet regions' demands

12:56 | Satipo (Junin region), Oct. 25.

President Martin Vizcarra on Friday affirmed his administration will continue to meet the demands of all Peruvian regions, especially the ones which had been left behind.

According to the Head of State, there are many needs in the country because the Peruvian State had —in the past— turned its back on the most remote areas.

"Peru is wealthy, but it has many needs, and we must work to solve the problems of the coast, highlands, and jungle, the regions which had been left behind," he expressed.

Likewise, the top official reiterated he will continue to travel across the Inca country to inaugurate the works demanded by the people

As an example, he mentioned that his administration will have inaugurated a total of seven schools in Satipo by the end of 2019. He also committed to building more educational centers next year.

Remarks were made during the inauguration of the 686th school in Satipo province's Rio Tambo district.

In this sense, President Vizcarra pointed out this inauguration proves the Government has not forgotten the populations based in the most remote areas of Peru
