swore in the new Transportation and Communications Minister Jose Angello Tangherlini Casal during a ceremony held at the Lima-based Government Palace on Friday evening.
The new Cabinet member is an economist from the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM).
Tangherlini Casal has more than 20 years of professional experience in senior management, administration, and institutional leadership positions.
He has extensive experience in research and economic studies related to public utility regulation, transport infrastructure regulation, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and the farming sector.
Tangherlini Casal had been serving as Deputy Minister of Family Farming Development and Agricultural Infrastructure and Irrigation.
He also worked at the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Public Transportation Infrastructure (Ositran), the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel), and the Competitiveness Compensation Program (Agroideas), among others.
