This is established by Legislative Resolution No. 001-2026-2027-S, published Friday in the Extraordinary Edition of the Legal Regulations Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano.
The regulation specifies that the Executive Branch appointed Velarde Flores as Chairman of the BCR Board through Supreme Resolution No. 258-2026-PCM on August 21, 2026.
Velarde Flores currently chairs the BCR, a position he has held since October 2006.
The regulation was signed by Senate Chairman Miguel Angel Torres and Second Vice Chairman of the Senate Nilza Chacon.
