In an interview with Radio Nacional, the current president indicated that his visit to the Popular Force Party headquarters last Thursday was intended to formally ask Fujimori Higuchi to discuss the transfer of power.
The Head of State explained that the aim was for the process to proceed in an orderly manner and without undue concern.
"The meeting was very cordial and formal. We went to invite her to come to the Government Palace to continue the dialogue on the transfer, and she welcomed my presence. We also recalled our parliamentary history," Balcazar indicated.
