Peru President attends delivery of 250 mechanical ventilators donated by U.S. Government

The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday attended the ceremony for the delivery of 250 mechanical ventilators donated by the United States Government to its Peruvian counterpart.

Those devices will strengthen the Peruvian health system and attention to COVID-19 patients.

On the occasion, the Head of State was joined by Peruvian Foreign Affairs Gustavo Meza-Cuadra, U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Denison "Denny" Offutt, and USAID/Peru Mission Director Jene Thomas.


Initially set to last from March 16 to 30, the quarantine was extended until June 30.

Tuesday marks the one hundredth day of mandatory social isolation in Peru.
