Peru President announces reactivation of paralyzed works

President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday announced that his administration has accepted the urgency decree proposal of the Comptroller's Office, which included measures to be implemented immediately in order to reactivate paralyzed works in Peru.

According to the Head of State, these measures will contribute to optimizing public investment and boosting the economy

In this sense, he explained that the reactivation of paralyzed works is one of the measures the Executive Branch carries out in accordance with the Government Plan. 

"We work day after day, relentlessly, in order to meet the demands and needs of Peruvians, but this effort requires everyone's contribution: institutions, businesspeople, workers, students, Peruvians from the coast, highlands, and jungle are able and must contribute to this cause," he expressed. 

Likewise, the top official announced an urgency decree aimed at enabling all public and private pharmacies to sell generic medications

Furthermore, the statesman mentioned a bill aimed at promoting scientific research and technological innovation, as well as the urgency decree on corporate mergers and possession of weapons. 

Remarks were made during the presentation of the cabinet's measures by Prime Minister Vicente Zeballos.

Regional governors, mayors, as well as representatives of political parties, business groups, and civil society attended the ceremony at the Government Palace in Lima.
