BCR: Peruvian economy to register one of region's highest growths in 2019

Peru will remain among the countries that register the highest economic growths in the region in 2019, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) projected on Friday.

In this sense, BCR Governor Julio Velarde projected Peruvian economy will increase 2.7% this year, after revising downwards its previous 3.4% forecast

Thus, the Inca country's GDP will be lower than Bolivia's (4%) and Colombia's (3.1%). 

However, it will lead economic growth in the region in 2020, as Peru is projected to register a 3.8% expansion. 

Remarks were made during the presentation of September 2019 Inflation Report.
