Peru PM meets with Congress members

Peruvian Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano on Monday met with representatives of the Agricultural People's Front of Peru (FREPAP) party at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) in Lima.

Members of the aforementioned political group —led by their spokeswoman Maria Teresa Cespedes— arrived at the facilities minutes before 9:00 a.m. (local time).

At the event, Ministers Maria Antonieta Alva (Economy-Finance), Ana Neyra (Justice-Human Rights) Rafael Belaunde (Energy-Mines), as well as Deputy Minister of Benefits and Health Insurance Victor Bocangel also represented the Executive Branch.

On behalf of FREPAP were Congress members Alfredo Benites, Jesus Lopez, Maria Cespedes, Luz Cayguaray, Raul Machaca, and Maria Retamozo.

Last weekend, Retamozo considered dialogue and communication with the Executive Branch important and expressed the willingness of her parliamentary group to participate in talks with Prime Minister Cateriano.

Following the meeting with FREPAP, the head of the Ministerial Cabinet plans to meet with representatives of parties Fuerza Popular (Popular Force) and Somos Peru (We are Peru).


Last Saturday, Cateriano met with representatives of Accion Popular (Popular Action), Podemos Peru (We can, Peru), Alianza Para el Progreso (Alliance for Progress), and Partido Morado (Purple Party).
