Peru: New Ministerial Cabinet sworn in

President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday administered the oath of office to members of a reshuffled Cabinet led by Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano, who will replace Vicente Zeballos in the post.

The new ministers sworn in today are: Pedro Cateriano (Prime Minister), Mario Lopez (Foreign Affairs), Jorge Montoya (Interior), Pilar Mazzetti (Health), Jose Antonio Salardi (Production), Kirla Echegaray (Environment), Carlos Estremadoyro (Transport-Communications), Ana Cristina Neyra (Justice-Human Rights), Patricia Donayre (Development-Social Inclusion), Rafael Belaunde (Energy-Mines), and Martin Ruggiero (Labor-Employment Promotion).

Starting today, former Production Minister Rocio Barrios will lead the Foreign Trade-Tourism Ministry, and ex-Transport Minister Carlos Lozada will head the Housing, Construction and Sanitation Ministry.


The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
