Peru: Protocol to resume air transportation services will be approved in coming days

15:38 | Lima, Jun. 10.

Peru's Transport and Communications Minister Carlos Lozada on Wednesday announced that the sanitary protocol for the resumption of domestic air transportation services will be approved in the coming days.

The high-ranking official indicated that —once the said protocol for commercial air transportation is approved— the possibility of granting a subsidy to this sector's companies will be evaluated immediately.

Likewise, the Cabinet member noted that interprovincial ground and air transportation services are suspended. In this sense, the Government is working, so that both activities can resume in the economic reactivation's Phase 3 taking place in July.

"Remember that moving from one phase to another is subject to the Health Ministry's reports and also to the context in which we find ourselves, in terms of controlling the pandemic at the national level," he told America Noticias.

Moreover, Lozada affirmed that the ministry is betting on a gradual and focused reactivation in the third phase.
