President Martin Vizcarra on Monday afternoon administered the oath of office to members of a reshuffled Cabinet led by
Prime Minister Salvador del Solar, who will
replace Cesar Villanueva in the post.
The new ministers sworn in today are: Salvador del Solar (Prime Minister), Flor Pablo (Education), Fabiola Muñoz (Agriculture and Irrigation), Rocio Barrios (Production), Carlos Bruce (Housing, Construction and Sanitation), Gloria Montenegro (Women and Vulnerable Populations), Lucia Ruiz (Environment), Ulla Holmquist (Culture), and Paola Bustamante (Development and Social Inclusion).
The following high-ranking officials will hold their positions: Carlos Oliva (Economy and Finance Minister), Edmer Trujillo (Transport and Communications), Nestor Popolizio (Foreign Affairs), Edgar Vasquez (Foreign Trade and Tourism), Francisco Ismodes (Energy and Mines), Jose Huerta (Defense), Vicente Zeballos (Justice and Human Rights), Zulema Tomas (Health), Carlos Moran (Interior), and Sylvia Caceres (Labor and Employment).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
The event was attended by authorities from all branches of government, holders of public institutions, and representatives of regional and local governments.
