After an extended session, Peru's Congress granted its confidence to the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Vicente Zeballos on Friday at 3:28 a.m. (local time).
The Cabinet received 89 votes in favor, 35 against, and 4 abstentions.
Later, most legislators virtually expressed their views to the ministers.
During the parliamentary interregnum, the Executive Branch enacted 70 emergency decrees, which respected the Constitution and corresponded to the government policy's axes such as: fight against corruption; institutional strengthening; economic growth; social development and well-being of the population; and decentralization.
