Vicente Zeballos, who had served as Minister of Justice and Human Rights, on Monday was sworn in as new Prime Minister of Peru to replace
Salvador del Solar Labarthe.
Held at the Government Palace in Lima, the ceremony saw the presence of the outgoing Cabinet chief, Salvador del Solar, as well as other state ministers.
During the act, resolution No 148-2019-PCM was read to explain the appointment of Vicente Zeballos was pursuant to article 122 of the Constitution.
They also read a document containing Salvador del Solar's resignation and thanked him for the services rendered to the nation.
