aimed at guaranteeing a safe travel experience and stay for tourists.
In this sense, the cabinet member explained the initiative has three components:
Security,
Formalization, and Strengthening. These elements will be gradually implemented in the 25 regions of the Inca country.
Likewise, he indicated that visitors will be informed about formal
tourism services so they can have a satisfactory travel experience.
"We want sightseers to feel safe in Peru and for their travel experiences to be focused on the wonders they will have the chance to see in our country. That will have a huge positive impact on the competitiveness of
Peru as a tourist destination," the minister added.
This strategy is the result of an articulated work between the Ministries of Foreign Trade-Tourism, Culture, Environment, Labor-Employment, Transport-Communications, Interior, Defense, Production, and Health, as well as the Public Ministry.
Likewise, private sector guilds —such as lodging establishments, restaurants, tourist guides, as well as travel and tourism agencies— participated in this initiative.
