The free trade agreement between Peru and Canada signed this morning will create “hundreds of thousands of jobs” in the country, said today Peru’s president Alan García Pérez in his speech at a ceremony held at the Government Palace.
“This is a very important day for our country, the signing of this trade deal is very favorable for Peru because we currently export abut 1.7 billion dollars in products, an amount which would increase considerably in the years to come", said President García.
“This agreement opens a large market for Peruvian products, where we can export not only minerals but textile, agricultural and wood products”, García underscored.
Peru's Alan García also highlighted the impact that this FTA will have on the creation of more jobs in Peru. The signing ceremony of said FTA was carried out this morning at the Government Palace.
