The San Francisco de Borja "Tata Pancho" festival, one of the largest and most splendid celebrations in the province of Yunguyo (Puno), was launched at the Government Palace in Lima.

A total of six delegations made up of approximately 400 dancers participated in the parade held at the front courtyard of the presidential palace.

Yunguyo's mayor Walker Chalco expressed his satisfaction because this is the first time that the most important festival of his jurisdiction is launched at the Government House.

He also took the opportunity to invite local and foreign tourists to visit the province of Yunguyo on October 10th.

The "Tata Pancho" festival, which will be held that day, is one of the most important cultural events in the region of Puno together with the Virgen de la Candelaria celebration.
