U.S. Under Secretary for Economic Growth to visit Peru next week

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea on Wednesday announced the visit to our country of Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and Environment of the United States, Jose W. Fernandez, along with a large delegation.

The upcoming visit was notified by the Peruvian government official through his official account on the X platform. It will take place next week.

The Cabinet member indicated that the U.S. Government official will be accompanied by a large public-private delegation, with the aim of "exploring investment opportunities in Peru."

"Foreseeing substantial progress, I extend, on behalf of the President of the Republic and the Government, the warmest welcome to Peru," he added.

During his working visit to the United States last March, Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea held a productive meeting with Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and Environment, Jose W. Fernandez.

At the gathering, both authorities explored opportunities for collaboration in the promotion of investments in critical minerals and infrastructure, as well as in the process of Peru's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
