As part of his working visit to Washington, D.C.,
Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea held a fruitful meeting with the
Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment at the U.S. Department of State, Jose W. Fernandez.
Likewise, at the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke with U.S. entrepreneurs about
investment opportunities in Peru in sectors such as mining, infrastructure, logistics, technology, health, credit, and finance.
At said meeting,
participating entrepreneurs expressed full confidence in the Peruvian economy and emphasized their willingness to participate in initiatives with the private sector within the framework of the Peruvian Presidency of the
2024 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
It must be pointed out that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses worldwide.
For his part, Minister Gonzalez-Olaechea held a dialogue with U.S. government authorities at the Atlantic Council think tank, which explored opportunities for joint work between both governments in matters of security, investment, and development of strategic sectors.
