The first tourist guide that highlights the attributes and opportunities in terms of investment available in Peru was launched in Lima on Tuesday.

Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Elizabeth Galdo was present at the presentation event.

A cooperation alliance with UN Tourism and the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) enabled this innovative guide to be created.

Similarly, it was highlighted that Peru aims to become one of the largest tourism investment drivers in South America -an ambitious but not unattainable goal.

This new publication will make it possible to present important updated information about Peru, as an attractive option to invest in tourism.

The guide includes summaries on corporate taxes and specific benefits for tourism investments in the South American country, foreign investment flow, and future growth outlooks for Peruvian economy, among others.

It contains information that promotes Peru as one of the most stable countries in Latin America for investments.

Likewise, it shows the notable trajectory in macroeconomic management that enables us to be the country with the second-best credit rating in the region and one of the most solvent in Latin America in terms of fiscal accounts.

This event was also attended by Deputy Tourism Minister Madeleine Burns, CAF Executive-President Sergio Diaz-Granados, UN Tourism Executive-Director Natalia Bayona (virtually), and UN Tourism Americas Region Director Gustavo Santos, as well as various Peruvian authorities and business guilds from the tourism sector.
