The Ancash region is positioning itself as one of the main attractions of the Peruvian coast for summer 2026, thanks to the classification of several of its beaches as "healthy" by the General Directorate of Environmental Health (Digesa).

This recognition certifies the microbiological quality, cleanliness, and presence of sanitary facilities at these beaches, factors that make them ideal settings for tourism, recreation, and relaxation.

In Huarmey, Tuquillo beach remains one of the most attractive destinations in northern Peru. Its calm sea, clear waters, and rock formations surrounding small coves make it especially popular with families and travelers seeking natural landscapes and a safe environment to enjoy the sunny season.

In Casma, La Gramita and Tortugas beaches have also received a "healthy" rating and stand out as must-see destinations for visitors.

La Gramita offers a well-maintained environment, light-colored sand, and a coastal area ideal for those seeking relaxation and outdoor recreational activities, while Tortugas, a traditional Casma beach resort, maintains its tourist character with a serene bay, boat trips, and a diverse culinary scene.

In the province of Santa, the district of Samanco offers additional options for those seeking excursions through natural spaces and open sea areas. Los Chimus, El Enrocado, and Vesique beaches offer expansive coastal landscapes and tranquil settings for walks, contemplating the seascape, and recreational activities typical of the warm season.

In Nuevo Chimbote, El Dorado and Caleta Colorada beaches are establishing themselves as popular spots for nature tourism.

El Dorado stands out for its extensive stretch of sand and ecotourism character, making it an ideal spot for family activities and recreation. Caleta Colorada, meanwhile, combines clear waters and a natural environment that attracts travelers interested in enjoying more open and less crowded coastal landscapes.

In Chimbote, Las Conchuelas beach, located on Isla Blanca, is also on the list of healthy beaches for this season.

Its island setting and serene atmosphere make it an attractive option for visitors seeking a relaxing seaside experience, with coastal scenery close to the city but with a sense of disconnection and tranquility characteristic of a natural space.
