The President of the Republic of Peru, Dina Boluarte, on Tuesday held a bilateral meeting with the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

At this session, both leaders acknowledged the historic trade, economic, and diplomatic ties that have united the two countries for decades.

The meeting was held in a room adorned with the notable Paracas ceremonial mantle, gifted by the Peruvian State to the United Nations in 1957.

Both governments agreed on the need to advance complementary infrastructure development to enable connectivity between Peru and Brazil, as well as the economic development of the bordering Amazonian areas.
