on Friday affirmed that the Government has relaunched Peru's image as a reliable partner for tourism and investment purposes.
Furthermore, the top official reminded citizens that the Executive Branch remains committed to working transparently and informing the population about the actions taken from the State's first power.
"We promised to be a transparent government (...) within this framework, we announce the main actions of these last two months, in accordance with our commitment to give account to the Peruvian people every two months," she indicated.
President Boluarte explained that the Government has increased the Glass of Milk program's budget by 27%.
S/1 billion (about US$250 million) has also been allocated for the maintenance and rehabilitation of irrigation canals and drains, as well as for water sowing and harvesting to benefit field producers.
In addition, S/176 million (about US$48 million) has been allocated for public procurements from micro and small enterprises (MSEs). It will serve to purchase police uniforms and face cold spell. Thus, more than 1,500 MSEs in the textile-apparel sector will benefit from this initiative nationwide.
Concerning floods, the impact of
Cyclone Yaku and a
possible El Niño phenomenon, President Boluarte explained that humanitarian aid goods have been delivered to more than 17,000 victims over recent months. Moreover, 89 tons of food aid and 435 tons of non-food supplies have been distributed.
Lastly, she highlighted the recent approval of the supreme decree declaring a state of emergency in various areas of the country due to imminent danger from river precipitation.
