stated on Thursday that the government remains committed to consistently prioritizing planning in order to achieve concrete objectives for the benefit of Peru in the medium and long term.
"Political authorities, who are only in office temporarily, must follow a State-oriented logic and provide the country with planning based on a principle of reality. Therefore, there is a firm commitment from the Executive Branch to support all matters related to planning in the country," he expressed.
The Head of State participated in the 4th International Congress Planifica Perú 2050 (Plan Peru 2025): Sustainable Development, Sovereignty, and Security.
This event was held at the auditorium of the Medical College of Peru (CMP) in Lima's Miraflores district.
The top official indicated that the structural problems Peru faces are neither recent nor accidental, but stem from several years during which no administration or government was able to find a method to overcome them through coordinated work among authorities.
"We are a country with great potential; we have all the elements to harness it, but due to poor communication among authorities at all levels, we have never been able to realize our true potential," he pointed out.
In this regard, the President suggested harnessing the experience of past authorities and experts who have achieved real objectives and results, and who have contributed to closing significant gaps in the country.
"There is experience that we must know how to capitalize on. Other countries have been able to do this to avoid mistakes. Experience is extremely important to ensure continuity. There are many challenges as a State, so it is necessary to seek understanding. We have everything to become what we want to be, although, unfortunately, we have not yet awakened properly," he emphasized.
Work for the regions
The President's agenda continued with his visit to the "Closer to Peru" multisectoral fair, whose second edition aims to value the cultural, historical, and productive richness of Huanuco region.
This space has been designed to bring citizens closer to the different sectors, as it highlights the work of entrepreneurs and the legacy of those who preserve the national identity.
On this occasion, Huanuco features 39 stands of agricultural producers with diverse production chains, including avocados, cheese, coffee, cacao and its derivatives, chifles, honey, dairy products, panettone, among others.
