on Wednesday welcomed responsible mining investment and pledged to promote it in the country, saying it means jobs, infrastructure, services, and opportunities for our regions.
"From the Government, we convey a clear message: Peru welcomes investment and will promote responsible investment," Fujimori stated.
"Mining in the 21st century must generate wealth, but also trust, and that trust is built by working together—the State, companies, workers, and, above all, our communities," she added.
During the inauguration of Expomina Peru 2026, the top official said mining must protect the resources it extracts, translating that activity into opportunities and well-being for families, "contributing above all to the development of those regions."
The Head of State recalled that, after taking office on July 28, she had established an irreversible 1,826-day countdown to restructure the Peruvian State, restore security, and boost the national economy.
"In our Address to the Nation, we set out a clear principle: the State must stop being a bureaucratic barrier for investors and instead become a facilitator of development. The State must not create obstacles or unjustified delays," Fujimori expressed.
The top official announced that her administration will confront illegal economies that destroy our forests, pollute our rivers, and threaten our protected natural areas.
"But we will bring about a cultural change, and we have discussed this with the minister of Environment. We will defend the environment while simultaneously promoting sustainable investment, because the two are not opposed; they complement each other," she stated.

At another point, the President thanked mining investors for their presence in the country, stating that each company that invests in and places its bets on Peru "represents an opportunity for growth and development for our people."
The Head of State said Expomina Peru 2026 is more than a mining fair, as it is a platform for investment, technology, knowledge, and business that showcases Peru's potential to the world.
"This edition will feature more than 1,000 stands and is expected to attract investments exceeding US$300 million," Fujimori stated.
"But what matters is that behind these figures are growing companies, suppliers gaining access to new markets, and jobs for thousands of families," she added.
