The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte affirmed that her participation this week in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78), in New York City, represents Peru's return to the world stage and an opportunity to regain the confidence of foreign investors.

In statements to Canal N from New York, where she arrived on Sunday, the Head of State revealed that during her participation she will note that Peru ensures clear and transparent rules for entrepreneurs worldwide.

"This trip represents Peru's return to the world stage, along with the strongest economies on the planet. This will allow us to strengthen our relationships with world leaders and their economies, which will contribute to the development of the country," she remarked.

"In this regard, this will allow us to regain the confidence of foreign investors. We want you to know that we are waiting for you with clear, transparent rules and with the aim of working for everyone's growth," she added.

When asked about the message that she will convey at the international forum, regarding climate change and immigration, Mrs. Boluarte pointed out that both issues are the main concern of her Government, as previously announced during her presentation at the Amazon Summit in Brazil, where she reiterated Peru's commitment to the environmental agenda.

Regarding the immigration issue, she said her Government seeks to provide foreigners with the necessary conditions — respecting human rights— to deter them from living illegally and informally in the country.

Finally, the top official underscored that she permanently coordinates with government authorities in Lima and will continue to exercise remote management of the Presidential Office from New York, as authorized by the law approved by Congress, to ensure the country does not come to a standstill.

The dignitary arrived in New York, United States, on Sunday morning to participate in the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78).

The airplane carrying the Head of State landed at JFK International Airport.

Upon arrival, the top official was welcomed by Peru's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Victor Garcia Toma; Ambassador to the United States, Gustavo Meza-Cuadra; and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States, Gustavo Adrianzen.
