51 Peruvian citizens residing in Israel, who were evacuated on a humanitarian flight by the Ecuadorian Government, on Monday morning arrived in Quito from where they will be transferred to Lima.

Zeballos explained that the humanitarian flight transported citizens from Ecuador and other countries, including 51 compatriots who had permanent residence in Israel, but who had signed up at the Peruvian Embassy in Tel Aviv to return to their country of origin.

Three groups

The diplomat reported that the compatriots who arrived in Quito will be repatriated to Peru in three groups on commercial flights to be operated by LATAM Airlines.

Zeballos detailed that 18 citizens will leave for Lima today at 1:20 p.m., other 26 will depart at 8:05 p.m., while the remaining seven (7) will leave on Tuesday at 1:20 p.m.

"We are going to provide them with all support; we are going to provide them with lodging and accompany them until their boarding towards Lima," he stated.

The worsening of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has prompted citizens of Peru and other countries to leave the Middle East.
