Peruvian, Indonesian FA ministers meet in Jakarta

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi held a meeting with her Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, at which they discussed various issues of interest to both nations.

Thus, both officials addressed the opportunities to enrich the bilateral, regional, and multilateral agenda of the Pacific Alliance and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

Likewise, the dignitaries deemed as positive Peru's interest in becoming a "Development Partner" of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).


Subsequently, both authorities discussed the start of the first round of the negotiations for the Indonesia-Peru Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IP-CEPA).

Lastly, they talked about the strengthening of the relationship between the ASEAN bloc and the Pacific Alliance, as well as the agreements in the United Nations' global agenda.
