Young Peruvian striker Raul Ruidiaz has been listed as one of the unheralded talents who will be looking to make a name for themselves in South America’s upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

As the qualifiers begin this Friday, Goal.com has taken the opportunity to introduce ten starlets to keep an eye on over the next three years.

Among them is 'Little Messi' Raul Ruidiaz, whose "outstanding talent with the ball at his feet" begs the comparison with the Barcelona striker, so does his low centre of gravity and mesmerising speed.

"Named one of the outstanding South American prospects by O Globo back in 2010, Ruidiaz has thus far found two large roadblocks impeding him in his quest for international renown; coach Sergio Markarian's use of one striker, and the imposing figure of Paolo Guerrero ahead of him in the pecking order," said the website.

"He will need patience, but Raul's form in Peru and the fleeting glimpses we have had with the Inca demonstrate that this is a youngster to watch intently," it added.

Other names on the list include Bolivia's Jhasmani Campos, Argentina's Emiliano Insua, Venezuela's Yohandry Orozco, Paraguay's Ivan Piris, Uruguay's Gaston Ramirez, Colombia's James Rodriguez and Chile's Eduardo vargas.
