The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday announced that all measures considered in the Con Punche Peru (Peru with Strength) plan —implemented to reactivate the productive apparatus of Peruvian economy or gross domestic product— have already been approved.

"To date, 100% of the proposed regulatory measures have already been approved, with an unprecedented economic injection of S/8 billion (about US$2.22 billion), which includes a set of actions that will boost the country's economic growth and development, as well as investment and employment," Mrs. Boluarte noted.

Within this framework, the Head of State specified the Fourth Axis, called "For Economic Reactivation," of the nine that she announced at the beginning of her speech at Congress.

Environmental certifications

Between last January and June 30, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) granted environmental certifications for 27 mining exploration projects, which represent an investment worth over US$316 million, the President indicated.

In this sense, Mrs. Boluarte explained that the State-run Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) was authorized to launch the public bidding for projects of the 2023-2032 Energy Transmission Plan, for a total amount of US$905 million.

Job creation and minimum wage

Mrs. Boluarte pointed out that —committed to social dialogue and harmonious labor relations, after more than a year of estrangement between workers and employers— the Government has managed to get labor unions and business associations to resume dialogue at the National Council for Labor and Employment Promotion —an important step for the democratic governance of labor relations.

"My Government hopes that, as a result of this dialogue between labor unions and business guilds, we will soon be able to announce to the country the Minimum Vital Wage increase, which will improve the living conditions of our workers," she said.

The top official added that, from January to June, the National Program for Employability managed to benefit about 2,900 people through the services of Job Training, Certification of Labor Skills, and Self-Employment Promotion.

This event took place at Congress headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
