Peru's President meets with Vestas senior executive in Davos

The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, met with the Senior Vice President of Vestas, Morten Dyrholm, as part of her agenda of activities within the framework of her participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos.

During the bilateral meeting, the Head of State and the senior executive discussed the possibility of the company expanding its wind energy production operations in Peru.

Also participating in the gathering were Ministers Elmer Schialer (Foreign Affairs), Jose Arista (Economy-Finance), and Angel Manero (Agrarian Development-Irrigation).

Therefore, the Government's commitment to sustainable development and clean energy is reaffirmed, the Presidential Office highlighted via X.

"The President of the Republic Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra met with the Senior Vice President of Vestas, Morten Dyrholm, to discuss the opportunity to expand the company's wind energy production operations in Peru," reads the post.

Previously, during her participation in WEF's high-level session on energy transition, the top official stated that Peru is committed to this shift and is actively collaborating with international actors to achieve this goal.
