During the talks, they reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to strengthen bilateral relations through dialogue and effective cooperation in addressing common challenges such as fighting transnational organized crime, building resilience to natural disasters, and fostering sustainable development.
The meeting took place in New York on the sidelines of High-Level Week of the 81st United Nations General Assembly session.
The event was attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espa and Peru's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Carlos Pareja.
The Head of State and her Dominican counterpart also discussed the exchange of experiences in matters related to security, artificial intelligence, and the illicit trafficking of cultural property, as well as opportunities to deepen economic and trade ties between the two countries.
