on Tuesday affirmed that a vote of confidence to the Ministerial Cabinet also means a vote of confidence to strengthen growth, progress, and development in Peru.
During the afternoon, the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Anibal Torres will support the Government's general policy at Congress headquarters and request a confidence vote from lawmakers.
"We always have the people's confidence vote," Mr. Castillo said, reminding citizens that the great challenges faced by the country require that State powers, beyond ideological or political differences, act reasonably and responsibly.
According to the top official, Peruvians demand that the Executive and Legislative Branches focus on solving the most urgent issues for the most vulnerable sectors. These include: having access to decent jobs, basic services, and face-to-face classes.
"More than a vote of confidence for the Cabinet, it is a vote of confidence to strengthen the country's growth, strengthen the progress and development of the Peruvian people," he pointed out.
On this occasion, the President was joined by First Lady of the Nation Lilia Paredes, Prime Minister Anibal Torres, Ministers Diana Miloslavich (Women-Vulnerable Populations) and Dina Boluarte (Development-Social Inclusion), as well as female representatives of various social organizations.
This event took place at the Government Palace's Courtyard of Honor in Lima.
