The Peruvian Government seeks to strengthen its rapprochement with the peoples of Peruvian interior regions, revaluing and listening to them, Prime Minister Anibal Torres affirmed on Friday.

The Cabinet chief also indicated that there are sectors which hinder the Executive Branch's efforts.

"This Government is carrying out a historic reassessment of the peoples who were always invisible," he expressed while inaugurating the 13th Decentralized Council of Ministers in Amazonas region.

The high-ranking official said he had noticed "hatred among Peruvians," witnessed in actions that "do not allow the Executive Branch to work" —such as constant interpellations or impeachment motions submitted against President Pedro Castillo.

Within this framework, Torres lamented Congress' recent censure of Labor Minister Betssy Chavez, adding that there are also other attempts to affect the Executive Branch's work.

Afterwards, he offered the outgoing minister to continue with her actions in that sector.

In this sense, the high-ranking official called on stakeholders to "work together, regardless of our ideologies."

"We are all brothers, we are all Peruvians; Peru comes first," he said.

Similarly, the Prime Minister stressed that the Government's "number one" priority is to recover the quality of education in Peru.

Furthermore, the Cabinet head stressed that the recovery of Kuelap citadel, affected by rains and landslides, is being sought.

Moreover, he pointed out that, at the end of this session, a work roundtable will be set up for the development of the Amazonian province of Condorcanqui.

Following his speech, the meeting between Executive Branch officials and Amazonas region authorities began.
