Peru's PCM reiterates commitment to joining the OECD

Deputy Territorial Governance Minister at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) Juan Haro reiterated Peru's commitment to joining the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), during a meeting with the Technical Secretariat of that body's Regional Development Policy Committee.

At the event held in Warsaw, Haro expressed the South American country's interest in coordinating measures to implement follow-up actions based on the evaluation of Peru conducted by the OECD's Regional Development Policy Committee in December 2024.

"From Warsaw, authorities discussed various possibilities for collaboration on regional and territorial development policies in Peru," the PCM reported via social media.

It also stated that the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE), Deputy Director, Nadim Ahmad, expressed to Deputy Minister Haro the willingness to attend meetings with technical teams aimed at coordinating the preparation of potential collaboration and cooperation.

Haro took part in the 5th Ministerial Meeting of the OECD Regional Development Policy Committee, held under the theme "Strengthening Regional Policy for Resilient Places" on May 19 and 20, in Warsaw, Republic of Poland.

The ministerial conference brought together ministers and high-level representatives from OECD member countries and other nations.
