Peru's Ignacio Buse claims first Wimbledon win

Peruvian tennis player Ignacio Buse opened his Wimbledon campaign with a victory over American Emilio Nava on Monday.

Buse defeated Nava in four sets (7-6), (3-6), (7-5), and (6-0).

The Peruvian tennis player, who has experienced a remarkable rise in form, overcame his opponent in 2 hours and 48 minutes.

As a result, Ignacio Buse, ranked 34th in the ATP, secured his spot in the British Grand Slam's second round.

He will face U.S. Jenson Brooksby (ATP No. 81) in the second round on Wednesday.

The Peruvian arrived in London as one of the seeds for the season's third Grand Slam, reflecting the significant leap he has taken over the past year after winning his first ATP title and consolidating his place in the world's Top 35.
